Several sources have reported that principal photography has wrapped up successfully, and much of the talent attached to the show is already working on other projects. Post-production is definitely going to be a lot of work, and thus the show has yet to receive a release date.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will focus on McGregor’s character as he enters exile on Tatooine following the fall of the Jedi order in Revenge of the Sith. Seeing as Hayden Christensen has been officially confirmed to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, by then known as Darth Vader, the show is definitely going to drop some emotional bombshells during its storyline.

Alongside these returning actors reprising their roles, Obi-Wan Kenobi features a star studded cast of newcomers. Other roles are being played by actors such as Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. The newcomers’ roles are still wrapped in mystery, however rumors point to Sung Kang stepping into the boots the Fifth Brother, one of the fearsome inquisitors who appeared in the Rebels animated series. Disney is currently working on a large portfolio of Star Wars content exclusively for its streaming service, Disney+. The non-canon anime anthology Star Wars Visions recently got a new trailer, and several other shows are currently in pre-production and production that expand on various eras of the new canon. Obi-Wan Kenobi does not yet have a release date.
