The five games saying goodbye to Xbox Game Pass
Microsoft recently dropped a huge piece of news at E3 2021, confirming that dozens of new games are coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the service, Microsoft regularly unloads some games from its library. If you head over to the “Leaving Soon” tab on your Xbox Game Pass, you’ll find which games are set to become unavailable. For now, these games have no specific date for when they’ll be removed from Xbox Game Pass. Usually, they only stay for a week or two longer after appearing on the “Leaving Soon” tab before being booted off. Here are the five games leaving Xbox Game Pass soon:
EA Sports UFC EA Sports UFC 2 Crosscode Downwell Endless Space 2: Deluxe Edition
EA Sports UFC and its sequel are understandable. They’re the two oldest titles in EA’s line of UFC games. UFC 4 just released last 2020, so it only makes sense that these games are unloaded from Xbox Game Pass as they no longer represent the most updated version of EA’s mixed martial arts fighting video game. While EA Sports UFC 4 is not available on Xbox Game Pass, it is available to try out on EA Play for 10 hours. Not to mention, EA Sports UFC 3 is on Xbox Game Pass, so losing both of its predecessors will not make much of an impact. The other three games are worth playing if you have time. Crosscode is a crowdfunded RPG with SNES-style graphics that sees a woman log into a futuristic MMO and decide to conquer its numerous dungeons, which are reminiscent of the Legend of Zelda games on the SNES. Meanwhile, Downwell is a platformer with roguelike mechanics. Finally, Endless Space 2: Deluxe Edition is a strategy space opera that puts players in the shoes of the leader of a massive intergalactic empire. As unfortunate as it is that these games have to say goodbye to Xbox Game Pass, the library is going to welcome more pretty soon. The rest of July will see even more and better games arrive, including The Ascent and Microsoft Flight Simulator for the Xbox Series S/X.
