Now, Sly is back at it again, generating hype for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 by sharing a since-deleted look of him in his Starhawk costume on Instagram.
Stallone is teasing a much bigger role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
A post-credit scene sees Stallone’s character, Stakar Ogord, gather a group of Ravager leaders for an unknown mission. In addition to Stakar, the group boasts the likes of Charlie-27, Martinex, Aleta, and Mainframe, as well as Krugarr, all of which were part of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team back in the 1960s. It’s not clear if the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy installment will explore the said mission, but we do know that Stallone is going to return. At the very least, we can expect the film to explore more about the character and the reason behind the change to Starhawk. Back in October, James Gunn confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will premiere on its intended date. It’s the lone MCU film that dodged the massive delays that hit other MCU movies. In addition to Gunn and Stallone, much of the entire cast will reprise their previous roles. Of course, one of the most anticipated moments in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the eventual reveal of Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock, which was confirmed a few months ago. The production of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 began this November in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s expected to last until April 2022 and might even spill well into the summer season. In addition to Atlanta, Georgia, the film is also expected to shoot scenes in London, England. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled to premiere in the United States on May 5, 2023.
