One of the biggest and most highly anticipated of them all is Tohama. However, with patch 1.4 already out, Tohama is still nowhere in sight. Instead, miHoYo gave players the four-star character, Rosario, along with the update. With that said, we encourage you to scroll down below to find out everything there is to know about Tohama in Genshin Impact.

Who Is Tohama in Genshin Impact?

So far, no story information regarding Tohama has been revealed in Genshin Impact yet. Instead, all we have to go on about Tohama is a couple of voice lines from the Closed Beta character, Ayaka, where she asks Tohama to get her umbrella and alludes to Tohama working as an attendant or a public liaison of sorts for Ayaka or Yoimiya. Unfortunately, outside of Ayaka, no other character has really talked about Tohama much.

What Kind of Character Is Tohama in Genshin Impact?

Tohama is expected to either be a 4-star or a 5-star Pyro-character who wields the Polearm as his primary weapon. Because of his connection with Ayaka, most rumors point to Tohama releasing alongside the Closed Beta character, who was a 5-star Cryo-type character and plays a huge role in the Inazuma region.

How Do You Spell Tohama in Genshin Impact?

One of the more confusing parts about Tohama is his name. In particular, how it’s spelled. There’s been a lot of speculation about how Tohama in Genshin Impact is really spelled. Some believe that it is spelled as Tohma or Touma because of how Ayaka pronounces the Pyro character’s name in both English and Japanese in her leaked voicelines. If we go by Ayaka’s pronunciation, then the Tohama spelling doesn’t make sense because it has far too many syllables. On the other hand, Tohma shouldn’t be possible in Japanese either. This is because of how the Japanese language handles syllables. Instead of Tohma, the name would have to be spelled as Touma to get the same pronunciation that Ayaka uses. Considering that Inazuma is based in Japan, this may be the correct way to spell Tohama. Until miHoYo clarifies this in a future update though, the consensus seems to be spelling the name as Tohama.

How Does Tohama in Genshin Impact Look Like?

There’s been no known official design for Tohama in Genshin Impact yet. However, that hasn’t stopped many fans from trying to recreate how the potential 5-star Pyro users will look like once he’s added to the game. Unfortunately, many of the popular accounts that posted their renditions of Tohama like Lumie and NEP NEP on Twitter have since ceased to exist.

When Is The Release Date of Tohama in Genshin Impact?

Tohama might not be in Genshin Impact right now, but it’s hard to believe that he’s not going to be added to the game eventually. There are just far too many similar leaks and rumors surrounding Tohama to make it seem like he is a non-existent character. In particular, the voice lines about his existence from the upcoming character Ayaka are somewhat proof of this. The only question now is when Tohama will arrive in Genshin Impact and that’s something we can’t answer just yet. Version 1.4 is already out and Tohama was not added to the game. This means that the earlier we could see Tohama in Genshin Impact could be in Version 1.5. However, don’t be surprised if it takes as long as Version 1.6 or Version 1.7 for miHoYo to finally add Tohama to the game.
